Lily is an Australian short film from 2010. The film is based on a series of paintings by Julia Ciccarone .

Lily and her father go on vacation again in a trailer. The ailing father tries to beautify his daughter's holiday with a campfire, fairy lights and memories. But Lily mostly has to go alone through the wonderful old forest down to the lonely beach. On the last day, the father comes down to the beach and Lily shows him how she, too, wants to protect him with her love.

Awards

The film was screened at the Melbourne International Film Festival (Australia) in 2010 and at the Flickerfest International Short Film Festival (Australia) and the Berlinale in Berlin in 2011. He won gold at the Australian Cinematographers Society Awards in 2010 . At the Berlinale 2011 he was awarded the main prize, the Transparent Bear, for the short film in the Generation 14plus section .
