Lim Kit Siang

Lim Kit Siang (born February 20, 1941 ; Chinese  林吉祥 ; Pinyin : Lín Jíxiáng) is one of the leading opposition politicians of the DAP in Malaysia . Since 2004 he has represented the constituency of Ipoh Timur in the Malaysian parliament . Before that, he sat in parliament for four different constituencies from 1969 to 1999. In July 2009 he joined the opposition alliance " Pakatan Rakyat ", which is led alongside him by Anwar Ibrahim and Abdul Hadi Awang and is the only relevant opposition force against the Barisan Nasional in Malaysia.
