Limu (also: Lima ) is a small island in the south of the Ha'apai archipelago in the Pacific . Politically, it belongs to the Kingdom of Tonga .

geography

The Motu is located at the northern end of the southern third of the eastern reef crown of the archipelago. The closest islands are Uanukuhihifu in the north and Lekeleka in the west.

To the north, the Ava Matamataveka waterway separates the reef.

climate

The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands in the Ha'apai group, Limu is occasionally hit by cyclones .
