LinCity-NG is a free city building game. It is a fork of LinCity with isometric graphics and a new soundscape. The handling of the game is identical and the old LinCity files can also be opened with LinCity-NG. From version 2, LinCity-NG also comes with water regulation and a simple ecosystem.
handling
The player expands his city by means of buildings, services and the establishment of an efficient infrastructure. Within the simulation, the factors population, unemployment, water management, ecology, food supply, goods production and transport, mining of raw materials (ore, steel, coal), the development of services (in the areas of education, health, fire protection and entertainment) and the Energy supply plays an important role. Finances, pollution and traffic must also be kept in mind by the player.
Numerous indicators, which can be called up using statistics or mini-maps, help the player to keep an overview. The player has to keep an eye on the population development as well as the social and economic balance of his city.
It is also important to strengthen or maintain passive research with the help of schools and universities. Because only with an increasing technological level (TechLevel) can new buildings be activated.
The aim of the game is to send your population into space with the help of a rocket station or to achieve a sustainable lifestyle.
