The Lincoln Building is a neo-Romanesque building in Manhattan , New York . It is located at 1 Union Square West and is on the National Register of Historic Places . It was built in 1887 by architect RH Robertson, the same architect of what would later become Manhattan's first skyscraper, the Park Row Building . The Lincoln Building has a total of 9 floors.
history
The site on which the building stands today was originally part of the Henry Springler Farm area and remained so until 1958. The building replaced four smaller structures on the site and housed offices, such as that of Alfred Zucker .
