The Lincoln University in the city of Lincoln in Selwyn District is the third oldest university in New Zealand .
geography
The university is located in the eastern part of the city of Lincoln at the intersection of Ellesmere Junction Road / Springs Road , around 20 km southwest of Christchurch city center.
history
The Lincoln University in 1878 under the name School of Agriculture established (School of Agriculture) and was originally the Canterbury College affiliated. In 1961 the educational institution was renamed Lincoln College . In 1990 the college finally became independent and was renamed Lincoln University . The university is a member of the Euroleague for Life Sciences .
