Building history and description

The Lindhofscheune is a former official and tithe barn of the Königsfelden monastery . The economic building was built in 1708 under Hofmeister Grafenried and is a masonry, large-volume structure with a steep gable roof. In the middle there is a round arched separation gate, which is flanked by slit-like light openings. The carved coat of arms of Bern with crown and palm branch is attached to the south facade, as well as the framed coat of arms of the client and the year 1708.

The overall impression of the formerly free-standing building as well as the inside of the barn has been greatly changed by subsequent additions and extensions.
