Linkker is a Finnish bus manufacturer. The company develops and manufactures electric lightweight buses made of aluminum .

background

The company emerged in 2007 from a research project. The first electric bus was completed in 2011. The lightweight aluminum body enables low weight and good energy efficiency; the battery can be charged quickly (3 minutes for a further 15 kilometers) via a current collector ( pantograph ) on the roof at charging stations distributed along the bus route, so that the battery weight can be kept relatively low.

In April 2017, around 20 Linkker buses were already in regular use in Finland and Denmark; there were orders for around 300 more vehicles. At the beginning of May 2017, a Linkker 12+ bus model was also in trial operation in Berlin.
