Raffaele Sorrentino (born January 8, 1980 ) is a professional Italian poker player .

Poker career

Sorrentino lived in Malta for a while and now lives in Mexico . He plays online under the nicknames 1mDonuts and raffibiza . Sorrentino has been participating in prestigious live tournaments since 2012 .

At the end of August 2013, Sorrentino took second place in a side event of the No Limit Hold'em variant of the European Poker Tour (EPT) in Barcelona for his first major prize money of 33,000 euros . In mid-October 2014, he finished tenth at the EPT Main Event in London and received the equivalent of more than 50,000 US dollars . At the end of August 2016, Sorrentino won an EPT turbo event in Barcelona with a € 102,000 prize money. In early May 2017, he secured the title at the PokerStars Championship (PSC) main event in Monte-Carlo . In return, Sorrentino prevailed against 726 other players and received over 450,000 euros in prize money due to a deal with Andreas Klatt . In June 2017 he was the first time in the World Series of Poker in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successful and came in three tournaments of the variant No-Limit Hold 'em the money. At the end of August 2017, Sorrentino took third place at the PSC Main Event in Barcelona and received his highest prize money to date of around 850,000 euros after a deal.

Overall, Sorrentino has earned over two million dollars playing poker in live tournaments.
