The Linner See is a 15 hectare lake between Wissingen and Linne (municipality of Bissendorf ) in the district of Osnabrück in Lower Saxony. The lake is divided into a smaller north and a larger south part by a peninsula on the east side. The Wierau flows past the northwest corner of the lake . The lake is used as fishing water. The maximum dimension is about 540 m by 920 m. The lake is completely fenced, partly with thorn hedges and additionally secured by gates, so that it cannot be used by walkers, cyclists or bathers. It is pointed out several times that the area belongs to the Lower Saxony-Westphalian Anglers' Association and that it is forbidden to walk on the bank (path). The access routes are also marked by prohibition signs or blocked by farmers' pasture fences, so that a view of the lake is not legally possible.
