Linux Game Publishing ( LGP for short ) is a software company based in Nottingham , England , which specializes in porting computer games to Linux .
history
The company was founded in 2001 by Michael Simms in response to the threatened closure of Loki Software , which had a similar goal. Often LGP passed porting work on to other developers, e.g. B. Knights and Merchants to RuneSoft or Postal² to ex-Loki employee Ryan C. Gordon , and acted only as publisher for these games. On January 31, 2012, founder Michael Simms handed over the management of the company to Clive Crous, citing health impairments and burnout as the reason .
