Lionel Zinsou (born October 23, 1953 in Paris ) is a French - Beninese economist and investment banker. He was Prime Minister of Benin from June 2015 to April 2016.

Life

His uncle is the politician Émile Derlin Zinsou . Zinsou studied at the École normal supérieure and at the London School of Economics and Political Science and worked as a consultant to Laurent Fabius .

Zinsou is the founder of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Ouidah . From 2006 to 2011 he was political advisor to Boni Yayi . As the successor to Pascal Koupaki , Zinsou had been Prime Minister of Benin since June 18, 2015. He is a member of the Forces Cauris pour un Benin Emergent party . In December 2015, Zinsou was the victim of a helicopter crash; he was unharmed.
