Lionetto Fabbri

Lionetto Fabbri (born April 4, 1924 in San Frediano , † December 9, 2011 in Florence ) was an Italian documentary filmmaker .

Life

Fabbri has primarily made short films since 1955 ; In 1961 his exotic documentation Malesia magica appeared on the canvases. It remained his only full-length cinema work, since a Mondo film Uomo, uomo, uomo, announced in 1977 (and completed in 1974) , probably only appeared in Japan

Fabbri's short films have been shown at numerous festivals; He won the Golden Bear twice at the Berlinale , in 1957 for Gente lontana and shortly afterwards for La lunga raccolta .
