Elisabeth "Lisa" Eder-Held (* 1966 in Freyung ) is a German film producer , director and screenwriter of national and international documentaries .

After completing her studies in modern German literature , psychology and political science , she worked for Bavarian television for several years before she became self-employed as a director of documentaries. The spectrum ranges from artist portraits and adventure trips to elaborate reports and long-term observations .

Eder-Held is a jury member at various documentary film festivals and teaches at the University of Passau . For her documentary Out of Samarkand - an Uzbek love story , she received a. a. 2006 the Bavarian TV Prize .

In October 2017, Elisabeth Eder-Held founded Lisa Eder Film GmbH , of which she is the managing director.
