Lise Filiatrault

Lise Filiatrault (* before 1983) is a Canadian diplomat .

Life

Filiatrault holds a bachelor's degree in biology from the Université du Québec , Montréal (1983) and a degree in international collaboration and development from the University of Ottawa (1989).

Before joining the Foreign Service, she worked in Cameroon at the Center d'études et de coopération internationale (CECI) and at Crossroads International in the Montreal office. In 1990 she joined as a sales representative ( english Foreign Service Officer ) at the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada. Then she was posted to the Georgetown diplomatic mission in Guyana from 1992 to 1994, to Santiago in Chile from 1996 to 2000 and to Havana Cuba from 2002 to 2005. At the headquarters in Ottawa, Ambassador Filiatrault was from 2013 to 2016 ( English Assistant Deputy Minister ) for the African branches south of the Sahara. Prior to this position, she was Director General of the US Office from 2010 to 2013 and Director General for Europe, Central East and Maghreb Office from 2009 to 2010. She held various positions at the Canadian International Development Agency, in particular from 2005 to 2008 as Director for the Middle East Program.

Lise Filiatrault became Canadian Ambassador in Dakar ( Senegal ) in October 2016 . The accreditation is also valid for Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, and Cape Verde.
