The Lista AG based in Erlen is an international Swiss manufacturer of operation - and storage facilities for industrial and service companies. The range includes drawer systems and other furnishing components such as drawer cabinets , workbenches , drawer and heavy-duty shelves , NC storage systems (transport trolleys, cabinets, tool holders), storage cabinets (material and machine cabinets) and dynamic storage technology . These are sold through specialist dealers and our own branches. The Lista Group employs around 410 people at all locations.

history

The company was founded in 1945 as a one-man operation by Alfred Lienhard. As a trained locksmith , he opened his own workshop in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden at the age of 20 , where he manufactured simple tubular steel tools , garden furniture and cloakroom lockers. In 1951 the company already had 45 employees, which made it necessary to move to a new location. Lienhard Stahlbau settled in Erlen in Thurgau and specialized in the manufacture of drawer cabinets. The new production methods based on the model of the automotive industry brought the company an initial growth spurt. In 1970 Lienhard AG , which has meanwhile been converted into a stock corporation , had 400 employees and a turnover of around 40 million francs.

After Alfred Lienhard's death in 1970, the company passed to his son Alfred "Fredy" Lienhard . Under his leadership, international expansion was driven forward and a subsidiary was founded in the United States in the early 1970s. With the entry into the office furniture sector , a second mainstay was created. In 1980 the brand name Lista (an abbreviation for Lienhard Stahl) , which has been used since 1953, was also used as the company name. In the following years a further six national subsidiaries were opened. “With over 800 employees, sales of over CHF 220 million were achieved in 2005”.

As part of the succession plan, in 2004 the group was divided into the two areas of office furniture systems (today Lista Office AG) and operating and storage facilities (today Lista Holding AG). In 2006 Lienhard sold the majority of the business and storage facilities to the Swiss holding company Capvis and to the management, but remains an important minority shareholder. The office furniture systems division remains as Lista Office AG under the umbrella of Lienhard Office Group AG in the ownership of the founding family.

In 2018 the LISTA Group was taken over by the Chinese Great Star Industries. As part of the internationally oriented Great Star Group, LISTA can use numerous synergies and open up new international markets.
