Parkstrasse 6 | Blücherhof estate with manor house | Ludwig von Blücher had Blücherhof Palace built at the end of the 18th century. Around 1800 the complex was first owned by a captain von Arnim, then by a Mr. Hintzenstern and the counts of Plessen and Freiherr von Maltzahn. Finally, the Blücherhof palace and estate were acquired in 1904 by the natural scientist Professor Alexander Koenig . He gave the order to convert the estate into one of the most modern in northern Germany. The Berlin architect Gustav Holland designed all the buildings in the neo-baroque style. |
