The honorary citizenship is the highest municipal award of the city of Kolbermoor . It honors personalities for communal and cultural services to the city as well as statesmen. In addition to honorary citizenship, the city awards a citizen's medal.

The following list names all persons who have been made honorary citizens of Kolbermoor since 1925, chronologically according to the date of the award and is complete up to 1986. The honorary citizenships conferred during the time of National Socialism on Paul von Hindenburg, Adolf Hitler, Franz Ritter von Epp and Adolf Wagner were revoked after the collapse of the Third Reich on February 22, 1946.

  1. Karl Jordan (born February 15, 1880 - † January 15, 1940; conferred on January 25, 1925) was a councilor and director of the spinning mill in Kolbermoor. He was a great patron of communal and cultural affairs in the city, donating land and sums of money.
    • Paul von Hindenburg (born October 2, 1847 in Posen; † August 2, 1934 at Gut Neudeck; awarded on March 27, 1933, revoked on February 22, 1946), Reich President.
    • Adolf Hitler (born April 20, 1889 in Braunau am Inn, † April 30, 1945 in Berlin; awarded on March 27, 1933, revoked on February 22, 1946), Chancellor of the Reich. The award took place on the occasion of the takeover of power by the NSDAP.
    • Franz Ritter von Epp (born October 16, 1868 in Munich; † January 31, 1947 ibid; awarded on July 15, 1936, revoked on February 22, 1946), Reich Governor
    • Adolf Wagner (born October 1, 1890 in Algringen, Lorraine, † April 12, 1944 in Bad Reichenhall; awarded on July 15, 1936, revoked on February 22, 1946), Gauleiter and Minister. The award took place on the occasion of Kolbermoor's elevation to market.
  2. Rudolf Hausenblas (* December 12, 1881; † June 25, 1962; conferred on December 12, 1951) was director of the spinning mill and was made an honorary citizen as a great promoter of communal and cultural affairs of the city.
  3. Josef Birnkammer (born April 8, 1896 - † August 25, 1962; awarded on June 25, 1960) was pastor in Kolbermoor from 1935 to 1962. His charitable and pastoral services were honored with honorary citizenship.
  4. Hans Lorenz (born November 1, 1893; † September 24, 1977; awarded on September 17, 1963), former rector. D., was recognized for his cultural merits. From 1927 he headed the municipal singing school and brought the city's high level of culture to bear at international folklore meetings.

  7. Hans Ernst (born November 9, 1904, † August 30, 1984; bestowed on November 30, 1979) was a local writer who lived in Kolbermoor from 1945.
  8. Josef Moosleitner (born February 27, 1916; conferred on March 6, 1985) was pastor of the Holy Trinity Parish
  9. Eugen Klaas (born January 30, 1925; bestowed on March 6, 1985) was pastor of the parish of the Second Coming of Christ, which was newly founded in 1971,and ran an annual children's and youth camp at Lake Wolfgang.
  10. Pauline Thoma (born June 29, 1907; † April 15, 1987; awarded on May 7, 1986) was the principal of the girls' school and lived for folk music. The new secondary school in Kolbermoor is named after her.
  11. Peter Kloo (born October 9, 1933; † 2005) was the city's first mayor from 1984 to 1996.
