The honorary citizenship is the highest municipal award the city Olching .

Since 1909, 16 people have been made honorary citizens. In the towns of Esting and Geiselbullach, which were incorporated into the municipal reorganization of Bavaria on May 1, 1978, honorary citizenships were also awarded.

Honorary citizen of the city of Olching

  1. Georg Nöscher (born January 18, 1871 in Oberheldenberg; † November 19, 1921 in Schönbrunn)
    Expositus
    Awarded on June 26, 1909
    Nöscher was an expositus in Esting from 1898 to 1900 and then in Olching from 1900 to 1906. He particularly promoted the construction of the church and the rectory as well as the establishment of the Olching parish. Later he was director of the Schönbrunn nursing home.
  2. Lorenz Rosenhuber (born June 4, 1856 in Niederching; † January 7, 1921 in Emmering)

    Rosenhuber was a pastor in Emmering for more than twenty years, from 1899 to 1921. He was a sponsor of the church building in Olching.
  3. Gabriel Buchhofer (* December 6, 1849 - † December 28, 1925 in Olching)

    The teacher participated in the community as organist and community clerk. As a sponsor of the construction of the new parish church, he was made an honorary citizen.
  4. Friedrich Pfanzelt (born August 24, 1881 in Moosen / Vils; † September 8, 1958 in Dachau)

    Pfanzelt was chaplain in Olching from 1913 to 1917, then pastor from 1917 to 1930. During this time the church received its painting. He initiated the founding of several clubs and was the head of the Harmonie choral society .

    Tauscheck was Mayor of Olching from 1919 to 1933 and from 1945 to 1946. He was given honorary citizenship for his social services.

    Duschl was the first mayor of Olching from 1952 until he was elected district administrator in 1964.

    March was a member of the Olching City Council from 1948 to 1970. From 1952 he was also a district councilor. He was the initiator of the festival and campaigned for social housing in the village.
  9. Rudolf Bögel (born January 21, 1898 - September 19, 1981)

    Bögel was a teacher and rector in Olching from 1936 to 1963. On the occasion of his 80th birthday, his commitment to schoolchildren and local history research was honored with the award of honorary citizenship.

    Haidacher was the first mayor of Olching from 1964 to 1978. He was made an honorary citizen on the occasion of his 65th birthday.

    Leiss was a member of the Olching municipal council from 1952 to 1978. He was the initiator of the town twinning with the French community of Feurs and later a sibling advisor. With the award of the honorary citizenship, his social commitment in the social service, in the local orphan council and in the organization of aid for the developing world was recognized.

    Drey was local councilor in Geiselbullach from 1948 to 1950 and from 1964 to 1967, and from 1964 until the dissolution of the community on May 1, 1978, mayor of Geiselbullach. After the incorporation of the municipality into Olching as part of the municipal reorganization of Bavaria, he was third mayor from 1978 to 1984.
  14. Käthe Zeitler (born April 8, 1897 in Saliter / Weilheim; † July 9, 1992)
    Awarded 1985
    Zeitler founded the women's readiness of the Red Cross in 1936. After the end of the Second World War, she organized the care of prisoners of war in the Emmering camp. She was made an honorary citizen for her social commitment.

    Koller was Mayor of Esting from 1881 to 1887.
  3. Matthias Reischl (born March 18, 1876 in Esting; † November 4, 1961 in Esting)

    Reischl was the second mayor of the municipality of Esting.
  4. Fritz Endres (born January 6, 1870 - † July 31, 1956)

    Endres earned services to Neu-Esting. From 1935 to 1953 he was the local chronicle of Esting.
  5. Franz Hagn (born December 14, 1906 in Aschheim; † November 16, 1979)

    Hagn ran a joinery in Esting since 1928 and a transport company from 1936. After belonging to the local council, he was mayor of Esting from 1945 to 1948. On the occasion of his 70th birthday, he was made an honorary citizen. His courageous advocacy for the place in the last days of the Second World War and his commitment to the community were recognized.

    Schneitter was a youth warden during the Third Reich. He was the head of the community chancellery and registrar.

    Heigenmooser was a teacher in Geiselbullach from 1926 to 1953 and then headmaster. With the award of honorary citizenship, her social merits were recognized.
