The series was first broadcast in the USA, beginning with the 22-part first season, on April 19, 1987 and a short time later was followed by a 43-part second season. Both seasons were broadcast in syndication on several channels at the same time . In Germany, the series was shown for the first time on Saturday mornings on RTL from July 18, 1992 . From 1998 several repetitions followed on Super RTL .
