Early 13th century Romanesque choir tower church with high-quality furnishings of art historical importance, surrounded by the old churchyard with historically significant tombs and monuments.

Church: built in the 12th century as Katharinenkapelle, nave in the middle of the 13th century, rebuilt several times. Inside: flat-roofed room, two-story galleries on the north and south sides (1769, 1829), organ gallery in the west, round-arched triumphal arch to the choir, sacristy with barrel vault, sculptures: by the carver of the Döbelner high altar, altar table from the 13th century, late Gothic winged altar Freiberg workshop, 1519 as the altar of Mary for the Cistercian monastery Altzella , 1560 came to Gleisberg, pulpit 16th century, Romanesque baptism, crucifix 15th century, 1925 painting on the triumphal arch "Last Judgment", for which Gleisberg residents were the model, organ by Friedrich Gotthelf Pfützner, 1826 or 1828.
