Assamstadt The oak was designated on December 21, 1981 as a single structure natural monument and also referred to as "Forstwart-Stauch-Eiche" by a sign. Makarius Stauch (1801-1856) is mentioned as the first forest warden or forest ranger in the Assamstadt local clan book. He was followed by two other people with the name Stauch as Fortswirte: Johannes Josef Stauch and his father Richard, neither of whom, however, were directly related to Makarius Stauch. |
