The list of number-one hits in the folk charts in the US (1948) is based on the of Billboard determined most played songs in jukeboxes ( Most Played Juke Box Folk Records ) in the US in 1948. As of May 15, 1948 The Billboard magazine also determined the sales figures for folk records at relevant retailers, presented in the category Best Selling Retail Folk Records . This year there were six number one singles each in the two categories Retail and Juke Box .
