List of Treasurers of the British Navy

The office of Treasurer of the Navy (German: Treasurer of the Royal Navy ) was awarded in the period from 1546 to 1836. During the civil war the post was occupied by both royalists and parliamentarians. As a rule, it was given to rising politicians, especially in recent years. With the introduction of the Paymaster General , the post was transferred to this position.
