List of stumbling blocks in Castrop-Rauxel
The list of stumbling blocks in Castrop-Rauxel contains stumbling blocks that were laid by Gunter Demnig in Castrop-Rauxel as part of the art project of the same name . They are intended to commemorate the victims of National Socialism who lived and worked in Castrop-Rauxel. In November 2010, 9 stones were laid at 2 addresses for the first time.

Castrop-Rauxel is the 600th city in which Gunter Demnig laid stumbling blocks. At the initiative of the “Stolpersteine Castrop-Rauxel” campaign alliance, the first 9 Stolpersteine Am Markt 5 and 24 were laid on November 5, 2010. On the 2nd laying date on January 22, 2013, the stones could not be inserted due to frost, so that they were only inserted in the designated places in March 2013.

The third installation date for seventeen stones at five addresses (Leveringhauser Straße 113, Lönsstraße 45 (parking lot "in the ear"), Simon-Cohen-Platz (monument of the old synagogue), Biesenkamp 32, Bladenhorster Straße 34/36 ) carried out.
The Stolpersteine are used to honor people who lived or worked in Castrop-Rauxel. Most of the stumbling blocks were laid in front of the last home chosen by the people concerned.
