List of Transport Ministers of Egypt

The list of Egyptian transport ministers names all the incumbents since the ministry was established in the Abaid cabinet on October 5, 1999. Husni Mubarak appointed Ahmad Nazif as minister for communication and as successor to Suleiman Metwalli , who headed the previously combined ministry of transport and communications Information Technology and Ibrahim El-Demeiri as Minister of Transport.

After the railway accident in Ayyat on February 20, 2002 in which 373 people were killed, the minister resigned; in addition, the tasks of civil aviation were outsourced to a separate ministry.
