List of the largest nuclear power plants

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of the largest nuclear power plants contains the most powerful plants, regardless of their actual operating status. Since there is a different ranking list depending on the scale, ie electrical net power , gross power and thermal power , the question of the position on this ranking list cannot always be answered clearly. The net power is the actual electrical power delivered to the consumer network. The thermal output is also specified, which is a multiple of the electrical output and allows conclusions to be drawn about the efficiency.

The order of precedence can change due to maintenance and faults. Planned, under construction or not yet or no longer active systems are also taken into account. The purpose of this list is not only to compare the electrical performance of these systems, but also to compare the potential of fissile material. The last information in particular is therefore also important for systems that are not yet or no longer active.
