The ambassador in Algiers is also regularly accredited to the government of the democratic Arab Republic of the Sahara in Tindouf (Algeria) .
history
The governments of South Africa and Algeria established diplomatic relations in May 1994. In 1997 the embassy began operating in the Sofitel Hotel , in 1998 the office building at 30, Rue Capitaine Hocine Slimane El Biar was acquired and opened on July 15, 1999.
