Order of the Rokel
Order of the Republic

The most important sign of Sierra Leonean homage is the award of the Order of Rokel ( English Order of the Rokel ), which, with few exceptions (eg. B. 2019. Jane Goodall is) only to Sierra Leoneans awarded.

  1. Order of the Rokel - since 1972 the highest award in the country in the grades Grand Commander (GCOR), Commander (COR), Officer (OOR) and Member (MOR); awarded to Michael von der Schulenburg (2020), Jane Goodall (2019) and Patrick Daniel Koroma (2013)
  2. President Award - given annually since 1972 to Sierra Leoneans in gold and silver who have made special contributions to the country; among others awarded to Mohammed Kallon (2013)
  3. Order of the Republic of Sierra Leone - also awarded annually by the President since 1972 Award; awarded to Francis Minah (1981)

Medals

  • Sierra Leone Independence Medal - Medal for representatives of the army authorized by Elizabeth II for the independence of Sierra Leone in 1961

  • Sierra Leone Fire Brigades Medal - for honorable members of the fire brigade Sierra Leone
  • Sierra Leone Police Medal - for honorable members of the Police of Sierra Leone
