List of traction power systems in Switzerland
This list provides an overview of the power plants and switchgear for the traction current network in Switzerland.
Substations
In these systems, electricity from the 132/66 kV network of SBB Energie AG is transformed down to 15 kV. There is no conversion of three-phase current into traction current or electricity generation.
Central traction current converter plants
In these systems, three-phase current from the public network is converted into traction current and fed into the traction current network. In some systems there is also a direct feed into the overhead line. The forming can be carried out using machines or electronically.

Border crossing points of traction power lines
The traction current network in Switzerland is connected to foreign traction current networks by 3 network couplings. There are 2 network connections with the Deutsche Bahn (DB) and 1 network connection with the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB).
