List of Welsh chess players

In addition to the historical masters, the list includes master players who are or were eligible to play for the Welsh Chess Federation (which is an independent member of FIDE ) and who have won the Welsh Individual Championship or who have an IM or GM title (of both sexes) or an Elo above 2400 have achieved (or a historical Elo rating of over 2500 before 1970 ) or are outstanding correspondence chess players .
