Listuguj is a sub-tribe of the eastern Canadian Mi'kmaq First Nation and a village at the mouth of the Restigouche in the province of Québec . The Listuguj are the indigenous people of the Restigouchetals and Baie des Chaleurs . Listuguj is also a tribal, administrative and reservation center. In their language the word Listuguj means "land of the five fingers", which means the five tributaries of the Restigouche. Restigouche has developed from this Europeanized .

The former tribal area of ​​the Listuguj had the name Gespegeoag , pronounced Gespe`gewa`gi , which means "the last land" in their language and is namesake of the city of Gaspé and the Gaspésie peninsula on the Gulf of Saint Lawrence .
