The Lithuanian Military Police ( Lithuanian : Lietuvos karo policija ) is the military police of the armed forces of the Republic of Lithuania formed in 1991 . It is independent of the other branches of the armed forces . The Lithuanian Military Police report directly to the Army Commander and are supervised by the General Inspectorate of National Security, the Army Commander and the Defense Minister of Lithuania .

The functions and goals, organizational structures, rights, duties and responsibilities of the military policemen and the police, as well as relationships with other law enforcement agencies, are regulated by the law of the military police ( Lietuvos Respublikos karo policijos įstatymas ). The Aubildungs regiment Didžiojo Lietuvos etmono Jonušo Radvilos mokomasis Pulkas is responsible for the training of military cadets.
