Littéraire Witte Prize

The Littéraire Witte Prize ( Littéraire Witte Prijs ) is a Dutch literary prize awarded by the city of The Hague , which was set in 1977 for the 175th anniversary of the Nieuwe of Littéraire Sociëteit De Witte in 's-Gravenhage .

The prize is awarded to novels, short stories, volumes of poetry or essays that have been written by an author in The Hague or that deal with a subject in The Hague. The prize is awarded every two years and the prize money is 5,000 euros. In addition, the winner receives a legpenning. The award ceremony takes place in March at Sociëteit De Witte , Plein 24 in The Hague.
