Littenhof is a district of the Schmidgaden community in the Schwandorf district .

history

Littenhof was first mentioned in 1271 as an estate of Count Schloßberg. Until the regional reform, Littenhof belonged to the municipality of Rottendorf . In the 1990s Littenhof was connected to the central water supply of the Brudersdorfer Group in Rottendorf.

chapel

In 1979 a new chapel was built and consecrated on May 13, 1979 by Pastor Alois Graßer on behalf of Bishop Rudolf Graber . She is consecrated to the Mother of God . A large statue of Mary with the baby Jesus in her arms forms the center of the interior. The paintings show the parish of Rottendorf and its rural surroundings and come from Karl Denk from Schwarzenfeld. The bell was cast by the Rudolf Perner bell foundry in Passau and sounds on the strike note a ". It is consecrated to the holy guardian angels .
