The Litterna-Halle was an ice rink in the Swiss municipality of Visp in the canton of Valais ,

history

The hall was opened in 1979. Initially, the building offered 5,570 spaces. It served the EHC Visp ice hockey club from the Swiss League as the home ground, and today it has a capacity of 4,300 spectators, 850 of whom are seated. The ice rink was also used for public ice skating. On August 23, 2019, the last game against canton rivals HC Sierre , won by EHC Visp, took place.

The Lonza Arena , the new ice sports and event hall in Visp with up to 5,150 seats, will open from 6 to 8 September 2019 . It is also the new home of the EHC Visp. At the same time there will be a farewell party for the Litterna-Halle on September 6th and 7th with DJ Antoine , Die Junge Thierseer and The Legends . Then the hall will be demolished and the area will be built over with new residential and business premises.
