Little Big Stars is the German version of the US talent show Little Big Shots , which was invented by Ellen DeGeneres and Steve Harvey and is also moderated by the latter.

concept
Children appear in the show who have or believe they have a special talent. In contrast to conventional casting shows, there is no jury and no winners or losers in the format. Moderator Gottschalk tries to interact with his counterparts in a way that is as child-friendly as possible and asks them, among other things, about their hobbies and talents before they perform the latter on stage.

Reviews
Reviews of the first episode of the show were mostly negative, which was mainly due to the editing .
Alexander Krei of the media magazine dwdl.de wrote under the heading “Destroyed with the butcher's knife” among other things: “Unfortunately, it seems as if you have not only sat on the stage with the youngsters, but also in the cutting room. Maybe you don't have to break both hands of the responsible editor - as Oliver Kalkofe already asked for it; Sat.1 and the production company Warner Bros. should certainly send a bouquet of flowers to Malibu as an excuse, because what was produced here in post-production was certainly not worthy of a big primetime show. "
Glenn Riedmeier from TVWunschliste was also less positive about the title “Gottschalk against the snippets from the post-production hell”: “[...] what the German television viewers got to see on Sunday evening was an almost unbearable snippet that hardly did anything with the actual recording had to do.
