Little Brothers of the Good Shepherd

The Little Brothers of the Good Shepherd ( lat. : Parvi Fratres Boni Pastoris , religious symbol : BGS ), or in German as "Little Brothers of the Good Shepherd", are a Catholic religious order for men.

On 19th January 1951 in Albuquerque ( USA ) by Brother Mathias Barrett founded the Community is now an institute of pontifical right. The members of the community are active in different directions of the Karitas and work in health and social institutions. They live in a monastic community and in 2010 had four monasteries in the USA, two in Canada and one each in Haiti , Great Britain and Ireland .

In the summer of 2012 the then 30 brothers of the Little Brothers of the Good Shepherd decided to merge with the Hospitaller Brothers to form the Brothers of Saint John of God community .
