Liu Huan

Liu Huan ( Chinese  劉歡  /  刘欢 , Pinyin Liú Huān ; born August 26, 1963 in Tianjin , People's Republic of China ) is a Chinese pop singer. With his song 千万 次 地 问 he managed to stay number one on the radio station charts of the People's Republic of China for ten weeks . In 1994 he sang at Carnegie Hall in New York City .

Life

In 1985, Liu graduated from Beijing International Relations University with a major in French . He was then sent to the Ningxia Autonomous Region . The time there had a decisive influence on his music.

Olympic Games 2008

China's pop idol Liu Huan and British singer Sarah Brightman sang the anthem of the Games "You and Me" (我 和 你) together at the 2008 Olympic Games opening ceremony.
