Liu Wang ( Chinese 劉 旺 / 刘 旺 , Pinyin Liú Wàng ; born March 25, 1969 in Shanxi Province ) is a Chinese Taikonaut .
Wang was a pilot in the Chinese Army and was selected as a possible future Taikonaut in 1998. Colonel of Staff Wang took off into space for the first time on June 16, 2012 on board Shenzhou 9 .
