Liv-Benedicte Bjørneboe

Liv-Benedicte Bjørneboe (born October 12, 1965 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian organist , composer and cantor .

Life and professional activity

Liv-Benedicte Bjørneboe worked as a church musician at various Trondheim churches . She started working at Tiller Church in 1985 , moved to Charlottenlund Church in 1989 and four years later to Hallset Church , which has since been renamed Byåsen Church. Since 1999 she has been a musician at Bakke Church . Her compositions have been performed on Norwegian radio ( NRK ) , among others .

She studied in Trondheim with Bjørn Kåre Moe and Per Fridtjov Bonsaksen and at the Conservatory in Paris with André Isoir . Her later style is influenced by Gregorian music . In 2005 she released her album Organ And Chamber Music . For this CD she played on the new Br.-Torkildsen organ in the Levanger Church . Organ builder Nils Harald Torkildsen wanted her music to be heard on the first CD that was recorded on his organ. Bjørneboe has also worked on Ove Bjørkens Landstreicher (1996).
