Live! Down the Road is a live album by the American singer and pianist Marcia Ball . It was released in 2005 on Alligator Records .

General

Marcia Ball has long been known to her fans and critics as an excellent live musician, but it was not until 2005, 20 years after her first record release, that she released her first live album under her own name, "Live! Down the Road". With Freda & The Firedogs, their first band, a live record has already been made. The CD was recorded in September 2004 in the Big Room of the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company as part of the Sierra Center Stage series by PBS . "Down the Road" contains all the great hits and is therefore a kind of "Best of ..." album. A guest appearance by Angela Strehli with Marcia Ball is documented on the CD (It Hurts To Be In Love). The album was nominated for a Grammy Award.
