Lyubow Wassiljewna Dolgaja ( Russian Любовь Васильевна Долгая ; born  October 16, 1999 in Voronezh ) is a Russian billiard player who competes in the billiard variant Russian billiards .

She was twice youth world champion, once each in the disciplines dynamic pyramid and free pyramid . In addition, she became vice world champion in the team and achieved three podium places in the World Cup.

Life

Lyubov Dolgaja was born in Voronezh in 1999 and grew up there. She has lived in Moscow since 2017 .

Career

Lyubov Dolgaja reached the quarter-finals of the Russian Youth Championship in 2013. A year later she became Russian youth champion with a 4-2 final win against Julija Kochneva . Then she played for the first time in the youth world championship and took seventh place. In November 2014 she took part in the Kremlin Cup for the first time . There she defeated Darja Mikhailova , among others , before losing to defending champion Diana Mironova in the quarterfinals . A little later, she reached fourth place at the Prince Open .

After losing to Elina Nagula in the final , Dolgaja became Russian junior runner-up in 2015. In the women's category, she took part in the national championships for the first time in the same year, but did not get past the second round. She was ninth at the Youth World Cup . In the Free Pyramid World Cup , in which she has regularly participated since the beginning of the year, she achieved her best result to date in November 2015 when she reached the semi-finals at the Kremlin Cup , including victories against Marija Karpova and Polina Yaroshevich against Diana Mironowa (1: 5) lost. A little later she also made it to the semifinals of the World Cup final and was only barely defeated by Belarusian Aljaksandra Hisels (3: 4).

In early 2016, Dolgaja won two bronze medals at the Russian Youth Championships and reached a quarter-finals in the World Cup. At the Russian championship in the dynamic pyramid in 2016, she achieved her best result at national level among women by reaching the quarter-finals. In July 2016, she won the first ever Youth World Cup in the Dynamic Pyramid in Rostov-on-Don with a 4-1 final victory over Julija Kochneva. A few days later, she and Marija Karpowa made it into the final at the adult team championship , in which the two, however, had to admit defeat to Olga Milowanowa and Diana Mironowa. In August Dolgaja also made it into the final of the Free Pyramid Youth World Cup , in which she beat defending champion Elina Nagula 5-2.

In January 2017, Dolgaja secured another bronze medal at the national youth championship. At the Kremlin Cup 2017 she reached the round of 32 and at the Russian championship in the Free Pyramid she reached the round of 16. In the same discipline, there was a new edition of the previous year's final at the World Youth Championship . This time, however, defending champion Dolgaja Elina Nagula clearly had to admit defeat 0: 5.

In the following year, Dolgaja and Nagula met in the final of the World Youth Championship , with Dolgaja losing again, this time with 2: 5. At the Kremlin Cup 2018 , Dolgaja reached the quarter-finals, in which she was defeated by Anastasija Swerinzewa . In September 2018 she reached the semi-finals of the Moscow Championship and lost to Maria Karpova.

In March 2019, Dolgaja won her first medal in the Combined Pyramid World Cup . At the tournament in Moscow she defeated Anastassija Stanowowa and Natalija Kornewa , among others , before she was eliminated in the semifinals against Marija Karpowa (1: 4).
