Lyudmila Georgijewna Vorobjowa ( Russian Людмила Георгиевна Воробьёва ; born January 26, 1964 ) is a Russian diplomat .

Career

Vorobyova graduated from the State Institute for International Relations in Moscow in 1985 . In 1989 she joined the Foreign Service. From 2005 to 2007 she was Minister-Counselor at the Russian Embassy in Thailand . From 2010 to 2015 she was the Russian Ambassador to Malaysia and from 2015 to 2018 Director General of the Third Asian Department in the Russian Foreign Ministry.

In March 2018 Vorobyova became the Russian ambassador to Indonesia , based in Jakarta . In addition, she issued accreditations for East Timor on June 21, 2018 and Papua New Guinea on September 19, 2018.

Others

In addition to Russian, Vorobyova speaks English, French, Lao and Thai. She has a grown daughter.
