Lo monastery

Lo or Lo Gönpa Monastery ( Tibetan ལོ་ དགོན་ པ Wylie lo dgon pa ) is an early Tibetan monastery belonging to the Kadam School of Tibetan Buddhism in central Tibet. It is located in Dagzê (Tagtse) County of the prefecture -level city of Lhasa in the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China .

The monastery was founded in 1095 by Phuchterwa Shönnu Gyeltshen (Tib .: phu chung ba gzhon nu rgyal mtshan ; 1031–1106) and Chengawa Tshälthrim Bar (Tib .: spyan snga ba tshul khrims' bar ; 1038–1103), two of the so-called "three Brothers ”from the Kadam School.
