The Chayül Monastery ( Tib. Bya yul dgon pa ) in the area of Lhünzê (Lhuentse) of the district of Shannan in Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China in southern Tibet was an early monastery Kadam -School of Tibetan Buddhism .

It was founded by the Kadampa master Chayülwa ( bya-yul-ba; 1075–1138), a direct disciple of Chengawa ( sPyan snga pa; 1038–1103) and teacher of the great Kagyu master Gampopa . It is a subsidiary of the Lo Monastery (Lo dgon pa) .
