Lhünzê ( Lhüntse ) is a district in the Shannan Administrative District in the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . It has an area of 9,894 square kilometers and according to the 1990 census 28,968 inhabitants, of which 28,776 Tibetans and 107 Han Chinese; the rest of the population belongs mainly to the Lhoba people . (2000 census: 32,184 inhabitants).
The east of Lhünzê County is claimed by the Chinese government as part of their territory, but is de facto under the control of India , where this area is part of the state of Arunachal Pradesh .
The Ridang Monastery is located in the circle .
Administrative structure
At the community level, the district consists of two large communities , eight communities and one nationality community. These are:
- Greater community Lhünzê (隆子镇);
- Greater community Ritang (日当镇);
- Community Nyaimai (列麦乡);
- Community Qayü (加玉乡);
- Community Rirong (热荣乡);
- Sangngagqoiling Parish (三 安 曲 林 乡);
- Community Xoisar (雪沙乡);
- Community Yümai (玉麦乡);
- Zari municipality (扎 日 乡);
- Community Zhoinba (准巴乡);
- Doyü parish of Lhoba (斗 玉 珞巴族 乡).
