Lhoba
The Lhoba (also Lhopa , Lo , Klo , Glo ; Chinese: 珞巴族, Pinyin: Luòbāzú ) are quantitatively the second smallest of the 55 officially recognized ethnic minorities of the People's Republic of China after the Tatars . In the last census (2010), only 3,689 Lhoba were counted in the areas administratively controlled by China, especially in south-east Tibet.
Some Lhoba tribes (approx. 120,000 people) live under names such as Aka, Adi, Abor, Arbor, Idu Mishmi, Midu, Miri, Nishi and Tangam in the Indian- controlled part of the Tibetan districts of Cona , Mêdog and Zayü , today's Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh .
language
One part of the Lhoba speaks Bengni-Bogar (崩 尼 ~ 博嘎爾 語), another Idu-Lhoba (義 都 珞巴 語). Both languages belong to the North Assam-Tani branch of the Tibeto-Burmese language family within the Sino-Tibetan language group.
religion
Among the Lhoba, autochthonous beliefs predominate. A few individuals are followers of Tibetan Buddhism ("Lamaism").
