economy
Due to the climatic conditions, keeping yaks still plays a major role in Tianzhu . White yaks have been bred in this area for a long time as the white wool and pelts were paid more than the usual brown yak wool. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, the breeding of the white Tainzhu yak has also been subsidized by the state. A coordination group has existed since 1991, which has been developing special breeding plans for the breeding of the White Tianzhu Yak in order to increase the still low level of performance. Bulls usually have a height at the withers of 120 centimeters and are therefore significantly smaller than wild yaks. (Document is missing)
The Lanzhou-Xinjiang Railway and the 312 National Road (China) ( Shanghai - Xinjiang ) pass through the Tianzhu area.
