The District Minqin ( Chinese 民勤县 , Pinyin Minqin Xiàn ) is a group of prefecture-level city Wuwei in the northwestern Chinese province of Gansu . It has an area of 16,016 km² and has a population of 290,000 (2004). Its main town is the municipality of Sanlei (三 雷 镇).
The Rui'an Fort (Rui'an bao 瑞安 堡) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-1071) since 2006 .
Administrative structure
At the community level, the district is composed of five large communities and thirteen communities.
